Answer Added Sugars ingredient by ingredient before you print the label

The FDA asks for Includes Xg Added Sugars under Total Sugars, with a %DV, on a US Nutrition Facts panel (21 CFR 101.9(c)(6)(iii)). Nobody can measure added sugars in a finished product, so the number comes from the formulation. A new Added Sugars tab, right after Ingredients on a US recipe, is where you work it out.
Each ingredient gets one question: does it have added sugars? The answers are No, Yes all its sugars, or Yes some of them, and some of them takes an amount in grams or per 100 g. Ingredients with no sugars at all are settled for you and listed under No added sugars. Studio refuses an answer that is more than the ingredient’s own sugars.
When every row is answered, Confirm shows the exact line the label will print, with its %DV. Add or swap an ingredient later and the confirmation no longer applies, so the tab asks you to confirm again. A new amount or serving size does not. Your earlier answers are kept. A label downloaded before you confirm prints without the line and says so. The same questions and the confirmation also work from Claude.
