Try a menu that answers guests' questions

Guests ask about allergens, ingredients, and calories at the table, and the answer depends on who is working that night. The new restaurants page explains how BetterMenu puts those answers on the menu itself, with the rules behind it, such as California’s SB 68, which takes effect July 1, 2026.

The Stone & Oat demo shows where that goes. It is a dog-friendly vegan café we made up, and every number on it is a sample. Search the menu, leave out dishes with an allergen, open a dish for its nutrition and swaps, then switch to Restaurant view to see the kind of insights an owner would get. Some of what you see there is still a preview of what we are building.

One change is already live on real menus. A dish with no allergens entered used to read as free from all major allergens. It now says allergen information was not provided and asks the guest to check with their server.
