The free label tools now show their math

Each of the three free tools answers one question you hit while putting a Nutrition Facts panel together, and each now shows its working instead of only a result.
The serving size tool covers 154 FDA food categories from 21 CFR 101.12 and gives its answer the way a label prints it: a serving size and about how many servings per container. Enter a 17 g cookie and it offers 1 piece (17g) or 2 pieces (34g). Categories measured in milliliters, such as milk and juice, work now too.
The US food search covers 13,259 USDA foods and 455,458 branded products. A food page lists nutrients in label order, and Show the math walks through the rounding, for example 95.2 kcal rounding to 100 kcal at the nearest 10. You can switch between the food’s own portions and 100 g, or compare it with a second food.
The Daily Value tool has a page for each of 42 nutrients. Every page has its own calculator, the value for each age group, and the older value labels used before the 2016 rule. Sodium shows 2,300 mg today and the 2,400 mg it replaced. Whole label mode fills in every %DV on a panel in one go.
