## How is sugar alcohol declared on a Nutrition Facts label?

Sugar alcohols are voluntary, stated in grams per serving. (21 CFR 101.9(c)(6)(iv)) They must be declared when the label makes a claim about sugar alcohol or total sugars, or about added sugars when the food contains sugar alcohols. (21 CFR 101.9(c)(6)(iv))
